Angel Park Golf Club

Angel Park Golf ClubAngel Park opened in 1989 as one of the first of the modern courses and features two championship courses by the design team of Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay. Playing just over 6,700 yards and at an elevation of almost 3,000 feet, the Mountain course is the longer of the two and features breathtaking views of the Red Rock Mountains and Las Vegas skyline. The Palm course opened in 1990 and plays just 6,525 yards and is more of a target golf course compared to the Mountain. For those who don't have enough time for a full round, Angel Park has a lighted par 3 course featuring replicas of some of the most famous par 3s in the world and also an 18-hole putting course.

Angel Park, a Spanish-style club is host to two full-length Arnold Palmer designs, the Mountain and the Palm, as well as a par-3 and putting course.

Angel Park is one of the best facilities in the Las Vegas golf scene, and was the winner of several VegasGolfer 2002 awards, including Best Value, Best 19th Hole and Best Youth Program.

Opened in 1989, the Mountain course was recently given newer, larger greens. The course is a desert style layout that requires shots to carry over native vegetation. The par 3’s on the Mountain are shorter than the Palm, which has no par-3 under 180 yards, but the overall yardage is 200 yards longer than its counterpart at over 6,700 yards. The Palm, which opened two years after the Mountain, is a more open layout with undulating greens. Six of its ten par 4’s play under 385 yards, while four play over 400.

Another one of Angel Park’s assets is their course’s variety.

"We try to offer golf to a variety of players," said Don Cramer, Angel Park's head professional. "A lot of golfers like to come out and just have a good time and not get beaten up. A lot of the new courses are getting tougher and tougher and while we have some tough holes, we also have some good scoring holes."

Also, for the city that never sleeps, Cloud Nine, the Bob Cupp par-3 course is lighted. An 18-hole putting course, also lighted, is complete with water hazards and sand bunkers.

15 minutes northwest from the Las Vegas strip, Angel Park is a solid choice for those looking for just a day on the course as well as those looking for inclusive golf packages. Wherever you are at Angel Park, beautiful views of the Red Rock Mountains and the Vegas skyline are abundant.
