Mirage
Hotel Casino
Hotel Description
Located midway on the Vegas Strip, the Mirage is committed to excellent
entertainment, dining and renowned attractions.
The Mirage ushered in several new eras for Las Vegas: A new commitment
to quality and excellence, a bona fide effort to make casino interiors
more aesthetically pleasing and a building boom that continues to this
day.
Looking around, it is readily apparent why the Mirage spurred on its
neighbors to greater things. The hotel is done in cool Polynesian touches
and festooned with tropical greenery; the entrance to the casino is through
a 90-foot-high glass atrium filled with royal palms, orchids and banana
trees.
The Mirage is home to Danny Gans, one of the best impressionists who
slips seamlessly from one character to another. The white tigers of Siegfried
& Roy reside near one of the entrances, while dolphins swim in an
outside pool and live sharks glide stealthily through a tank behind the
reception counter.
3,049 rooms fill a Y-shaped tower, and guests have a full spa and a lush
pool area to keep them occupied during the day with a number of restaurants,
lounges and abundant gaming to appease them at night.
